We are transparent about how YouTube Audio Analyst handles your data. Our philosophy is simple: Your keys stay on your device, and your audio is processed ephemerally.

1. Data Collection & Usage

        We DO NOT store your personal data. The extension operates on a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK)
        model to ensure privacy.
    

A. API Keys

Your Google Gemini API Key is stored locally on your browser device using the Chrome Storage API. It is sent directly to our backend proxy solely to authenticate your request with Google's services. We never log, save, or share your API key.

B. Video Audio

When you click "Analyze", the URL of the current YouTube video and your API Key are transmitted to our secure backend server. The server:

Downloads the audio track temporarily.
Sends it to Google Gemini for analysis.
Immediately deletes the audio file from the server disk once the analysis is complete.

2. Third-Party Services

This extension utilizes the Google Gemini API for intelligence. By using this extension, you are also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service regarding API usage.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to outside parties. Your data is strictly used to provide the functionality of the extension (Audio Analysis).
